Taunton School

Founded in 1847, Taunton School has long been one of the leading providers of private education in the UK. The school is located in the beautiful rural county of Somerset in the South West of England, occupying a 56 acre site and with excellent facilities. For more than 20 years, they have been educating international students on their Summer School courses, providing a wonderful balance of academic subjects, sports, activities and trips.
Taunton School organizes every year the Summer School which welcomes children from all over the world. They create a safe, happy, action-packed, disciplined and supportive educational environment that challenges, nurtures and encourages all of their students.
The courses offer a genuine taste of British boarding school life. The students who attend this camps take home with them unforgettable memories, experiences and friendships. The Summer School is divided into three age categories: Junior (8-12), Senior (13-17) and Pre-Sessionals (14-17). There are a variety courses to choose from, such as Sports, Academic, STEM, Cookery, Performing Arts.
Over the duration of their course, students see many different aspects of British culture, such as the galleries and museums of London, the world- famous colleges of Oxford University, Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Roman City of Bath through to the historic city port of Bristol and World Heritage Site of Stonehenge. Excursions are also about having fun, so some courses include trips to theme parks, beaches and famous cities, as well as offering the chance to explore the outstanding natural beauty in the area surrounding Taunton School.
